But disappoints investors
Sykes Enterprises generated $220.5 million in revenue during the fourth quarter of 2009. This was a solid beat on their previous guidance of $213-215 million and represents a gain of 9.8% compared to the same quarter last year. Margins ticked down a notch from 6.8% last year, to 6.7% this time around. The investor disappointment came with their earnings and guidance for Q1. They earned only $0.30 vs. $0.34 expectations, and they are expecting only $0.20-0.24 earnings per share vs. analyst expectations of $0.34.
