Sitel has announced that it plans to open a call center in Managua, Nicaragua to improve its Spanish speaking service to U.S. customers. The call center will add over 450 seats to Sitel’s Nicaraguan portfolio, bringing its total seat capacity in the country to around 3,000. The center will open in December, and be ready for service by the BPO company's first fiscal quarter.
Sitel is responding to the growing influence of Latino consumers in the U.S., and originally began doing business in Nicaragua in 2008. The company primarily serves clients in the wireless, consumer electronics, media , and finance industries.
